Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Adoptr, we want you to be completely satisfied with your subscription. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for requesting a refund for our paid services. All payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record.

2. Free Plan

The Free plan is offered at no cost and does not involve any payment. No refund is applicable for the Free plan.

3. Pro Plan — Refund Eligibility

If you are not satisfied with the Pro plan, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase. To be eligible for a refund:

  • The request must be made within 14 days of the first subscription payment
  • You must not have exceeded 20 AI generations during the refund period
  • The request must be submitted via email to support@adoptr.ai

4. Renewal Payments

Refunds for renewal payments (monthly charges after the initial purchase) are generally not provided. However, if you were charged after cancelling your subscription, or if there was an error in billing, you may request a refund by contacting us within 7 days of the charge.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please send an email to support@adoptr.ai with the following information:

  • Your registered email address
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for the refund request
  • Transaction ID (available in your billing page or email receipt)

6. Refund Processing

Once your refund request is approved:

  • Refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days
  • The refund will be credited to the original payment method
  • Your account will be downgraded to the Free plan immediately
  • Any generated content will remain accessible but new generations will be limited to the Free plan allowance

7. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be provided in the following cases:

  • Requests made after the 14-day refund period
  • Accounts that have been suspended or terminated for violation of our Terms of Service
  • Partial month usage after cancellation (you retain access until the end of the billing period)
  • Dissatisfaction with AI-generated content quality (content can be regenerated with different moods and prompts)

8. Cancellation vs Refund

Cancelling your subscription and requesting a refund are different:

  • Cancellation: Stops future charges. You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period. No refund is issued.
  • Refund: Returns your payment. Pro access is removed immediately upon refund approval.

9. Payment Processor

All payments and refunds are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle handles all billing, tax, and compliance. You may also contact Paddle directly regarding payment disputes.

10. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
